History and Tools
- These
pages were originally created and posted in June, 1995, using a Macintosh
LCIII with BBEdit Lite and GraphicConverter.
- ClueLass
2.0 came online in early 1997, designed on a PowerBook 5300cs using
Claris Home Page.
- "ClueLass,
The Next Generation," went dynamic with a FileMaker
Pro database and Lasso middleware,
using a PowerMac 7600 with a G3 upgrade.
- Clue2000,
which featured a sitewide redesign and author-book linking, went live
1 May 2000. It was designed using Lasso
Studio for Dreamweaver and Fireworks.
- Clue2002,
uploaded in January, 2002, moved onto a faster server with FileMaker
Pro 5.5 and added an Awards database. It also incorporated the venerable
Mysterious Home Page to provide streamlined
access for slower-speed connections, older or text-only browsers, and
screen-reader applications.
All site design and information architecture by Kate Derie.
